Description
Among the many treasures that you can find in Valencia, the cathedral is, without a doubt, its most hidden gem
From an artistic point of view, in this building you can find the best Romanesque architecture in the city (the Puerta de la Almoina), a Valencian Gothic building with elements of French Gothic (the Puerta de los Apóstoles), the best paintings of the first Spanish Renaissance, baroque facades and decoration (the Puerta de los Hierros), neoclassical decoration, paintings by Goya, the largest Custody in the world, a cathedral museum surprising for its wealth of works, archaeological remains or relics, etc.
But the most important thing are the stories that this building tells. Stories of war, fire and destruction, stories of power, beliefs and above all, the story that speaks of the authentic Holy Chalice, yes, the real one, the one that Jesus Christ used during the last supper. You will learn how it arrived in Valencia and even the scientific evidence that demonstrates its authenticity.
Are you going to miss this gem? We will do the visit with radio guides, so that you can hear me perfectly while you can enjoy the building
And at the end of the visit inside and outside the cathedral, if you want, as a gift, I can go up with you to the Miguelete (the bell tower).
There are 207 steps that have a great reward: the best views of Valencia. I will give you my time, and I will show you Valencia and its surroundings from above, but you have to know that to access the tower you will have to pay “on site” an additional entrance fee whose price is 2.5 euros.
Get in contact with us. We will be very happy to give you more details, to offer you other options, to answer any questions you may have.
